The practice
About Mudan AD
Mudan Architectural Design is a small residential architectural practice. We focus on loft conversions, extensions, garage conversions and new builds for homeowners across London and the Home Counties.
Our story
Mudan Architectural Design is a trading name of Mudan AD Ltd. The practice was founded by Jasmeet Mudan BA with a clear purpose: to provide homeowners with a helpful, honest and design-led architectural service for residential extensions and loft conversions.
We work exclusively in the residential sector. That focus means we understand the planning policies, the building regulations and the practical realities of extending a home across London and the Home Counties.
We have helped homeowners across London — from Victorian terraces and period houses in conservation areas to 1930s semis and suburban detached homes — create the space they need, whether that is a new bedroom in the loft, an open-plan kitchen-diner at the rear, or a wraparound extension that changes the whole ground floor.
Jasmeet Mudan BA
Jasmeet Mudan BA is the founder and principal of Mudan Architectural Design. He has designed over 100 loft conversions and extensions over more than 16 years, working with councils including Ealing, Harrow, Brent, Barnet, Hillingdon and Lambeth, as well as Buckinghamshire and the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead.
Jasmeet oversees every project personally. You will never be passed to a junior or a call centre — you can speak to him directly at any stage. He also runs London Party Wall Surveyors, so party wall matters can be handled alongside your design.
Our approach
Collaborative from the start
We take time to understand how you live, what you need and what matters to you — then we design around that.
Clear communication at every stage
We explain everything in plain English. You will always know where your project is, what is happening next and what decisions you need to make.
3D views as standard
We produce 3D views on every project so you can see your new space before any building work begins — and refine the design with confidence.
Honest about what is possible
We will always give you an honest view of what planning is likely to approve, what your budget will achieve and what the realistic timescales are.
Why 3D views matter
Most homeowners find it difficult to read a flat architectural drawing and imagine what the finished space will actually feel like. That is completely understandable — it is not something most people do every day.
That is why we produce 3D views on every project. You can see the proportions, the light, the ceiling heights and the flow between spaces — all before any building work begins.
This means you can make informed decisions about the design, catch anything that does not feel right, and arrive at a scheme you are happy with — rather than discovering on site that something is not quite what you imagined.
